Beautiful thoughts, amazingly captured on canvas. Avery different kind of work you have here - simple yet striking, the palimpsest explained so beautifully in words by you....

Artist's Description

"Prediction" begins with the past. But points to the future.
The Arch is from the library facade in ancient Ephesus,
which speaks to a moment thousands of years ago. Standing
in front of this reconstructed two-story edifice I wondered how it had
been completed four thousand years ago. What did this street look like
and sound like when this was all current?

Subtley placed ads for large vehicles and SUV's mark a moment
in time within my life time. The economy is changing. Oil acquisition
is the hidden agenda in our politics. But this too is not forever.
What will it look like, sound like, in another day?

The figures, all standing, represent the time line itself.
They were there in Ephesus, and they will be there in the future,
perhaps asking about the history of the large personally owned vehicles
in a day gone by.
